This luscious black pillow cover features a unique off-white large scale pattern and was created from a piece of mudcloth woven in Mali, West Africa. Mudcloth is a 100% cotton fabric made up of narrow strips that have been stitched together and typically dyed with fermented mud and other botanicals.

These textiles are perfectly imperfect and that’s why I love them so much. Due to the hand crafted nature of this textile, no two pillows are alike and imperfections such as repaired tears, cotton slubs and other natural blemishes may be visible. These details truly add to the beauty and uniqueness of the fabric!

This mudcloth is thick with a slight nubby texture and a soft hand and would be a perfect accent on your sofa or bed.

The front fabric is black mudcloth and the pattern may vary slightly. The back fabric is 100% linen in a beautiful flax/oatmeal color. The cover features serged seams and an exposed brass zipper closure.

// SIZE:
Approximately 17" x 17", shown with a 18" x 18" insert

// CARE:
Spot clean or dry clean

// NOTE:
This listing is for the cover only, an insert is NOT included.
Vintage and handmade fabrics can sometimes be delicate, so please use care when inserting the pillow. I like to fold the insert in half and shimmy it into the cover.
I photograph the pillows in daylight for best color accuracy but slight variations in color may occur.
